Chris Pedrick:

As soon as you arrive at the entrance gate to Villa Loma you feel like you are someplace special. Unmatched views of the Costa Rica coast all the way North to Morgan's Rock accompany the great service and personality of Richard and Yasser. The new Sunday brunch with signature drinks are a real treat. It's like being pampered for your whole time in a little piece of paradise just a few minutes from San Juan del Sur.

Paradise with Stunning Views:

Villa Loma is a fabulous piece of paradise with stunning views and everything you could want to unwind. Just loved the birdsong in the morning, the wonderful food on the terrace at the bistro, beach 10 minutes away, private pool if you don't want to move (and you may not!). So many wonderful little nooks and crannies on the property to sit with a book, relax with a drink, breathe in the tropical perfume. Attentive hosts and a warm Nica welcome from staff - the perfect blend of privacy and pride of service. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Villa Loma del Socorro. We were backpacking and this was a bit of a splurge for my wife's birthday surprise, but worth every penny.Yasser and Richard were superb hosts. The accommodation (we were in Deluxe Suite with Sea View) was beautiful and the breakfasts were amazing. The views were stunning and lounging in the large hammock was a great way to spend a few hours.

Hidden Gem:

Perfectly located south of town (peaceful yet close enough to San Juan to spend a day sailing or dining) nestled in the top of the jungle to hear only the sounds of nature and watch the sunset. Views to die for! Understated luxury is evident in every detail. You can’t find a more manicured setting and quality amenities in the area. Great hosts too!

Anniversary Holiday:

My husband and I came here for our 20th wedding anniversary. We searched for the perfect place to stay and found it at Villa Loma. Owners Yassir and Richard made us feel at home and helped us navigate the local culture and area. The B&B was romantic and beautiful with its gardens, spectacular view and thoughtful design. The area was very quiet and without light pollution at night. We stayed in the Gardenia and watched the amazing sunset from our porch.  We ended up eating supper at Villa Loma every night of our stay there. The chef made delicious food with something different every night. We are vegetarians and he made a special effort to accommodate this.  The location was perfect as it was a close drive to San Juan del Sur, Playa Hermosa and Playa Yankee but a short walk up the road and we saw White-faced and Howler monkeys.
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about leaving an honest review for this place because I love it so much that I don’t want anyone else to know about it!

Pampered in Paradise:

This was probably the best hotel experience I have ever had- stay here if you get a chance! I came here with 2 friends (slightly hungover after Sunday Funday) at the end of a 4 week trip in Nicaragua. We had read the reviews and looked at photos and wondered whether it was too good to be true (were they just really good at Instagram?! Are their friends doing multiple reviews?!). Luckily, on arrival, our doubts were thrown aside. Our hosts sent a taxi to collect us and they met us from the car at the property. We were greeted with a refreshing orange and ginger juice and shown to the pool to spend our day until our room was ready- they had let us arrive early and use the facilities. After a few minutes we were given a cool face towel (infused with orange oil?!). We realised we had chosen the right place to relax and recover at the end of our trip! We stayed for 2 nights in the private villa with private pool. It is incredibly quiet, the pool is lovely and the view is amazing. Take some groceries if you fancy cooking as there is a full kitchen in the villa. Otherwise take cash as you can order take aways (for three people, take away was between 1200-1800 Córdobas). We also had massages by the pool at sunset. Amazing experience. Can’t wait to come back!!

Little Paradise:

Villa Loma is the place to stay at in San Juan del Sur! We've been exceptionally well accommodated and the environment is simply majestic. Perfect for couples and getting some rest in connection with the nature.
